Upcoming Tournament

Hey boys,

I mentioned to the few people who were at training on Friday, that there's going to be an upcoming tournament on the 7th of September. However, if you want to send a team, there's going to be work that needs to be done.

1) Committment: Only 7 people turned up for practice on Friday! If we don't have enough people to train, we won't have enough people to field a team. To send a team for a tournament, you want at least 10 people, but ideally 14. If we can't even get together a team of 14 during training, we're not going to be able to send a team to the tournament. If you're really interested in playing competitively, I expect you to come to training regularly, and if you cannot make it, have a valid reason.

There are lots of other offense and defense strategies I need to teach you before you can go for the tournament, so I expect people to attend trainings if they want to play for the team. On that note, however, if you just want to play for fun/recreationally, I welcome anybody to come down anytime :)

2) Captaincy: You guys are gonna need a team captain. Please be prepared to vote for one on Monday.
